With Chris Hemsworth in the leading role there was a bit of coming over all un-necessary as rumours floated on the Wells grapevine as to whether or not the Hollywood heartthrob would be in the City for this part of filming.
The Bishop's Eye was refurbed to have two walls built either side, in-keeping with the original medieval structure.
Members of the crew were easily spotted by a tell-tale coffee in one hand, walkie talkie in the other.
The 'big day' for filming arrived with several good folk of Wells as extras, including the Wells Film Centre's own Derek Cooper. A huge green screen was set up in the Market Place.
Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron filmed a funeral scene within Wells Cathedral before moving outside to the area between the Bishop's Palace and Cathedral.
A black, horse-drawn carriage thundered through the Market Place, past the green screen and through the Bishop's Eye to the delight of the throng watching the filming.
The total screen time of the scenes here is said to be around 15 minutes of the film and we look forward to seeing Wells on the big screen again.
The Huntsman is due to be released in the UK in April 2016.
