The Penn Bar

Our comfortable bar looks out on to the heart of Wells Market Place making it the ideal meeting place.

Originally a separate inn, it was from an upper window here that William Penn, a Quaker who later gave his name to Pennsylvania USA (and our bar), preached to a crowd below in 1685.

We serve a variety of local beers and ciders, as well as popular lagers and spirits. We have an extensive wine list, as well as a great choice of juices and soft drinks.

Tea, coffee and mouth-watering cakes are served throughout the day.

We have a selection of eclectic menus, with something to suit every taste and budget. Food served all day, every day, throughout the Summer.
